Accessibility

Golf societies bring together players of every age and ability - Gimmi should work for all of them.

Last updated July 2026

Our commitment

A round of golf, a Ryder Cup, or a society AGM brings together members with a wide range of eyesight, dexterity and comfort with technology. We want anyone in a society to be able to check a fixture, follow a leaderboard or enter a score on Gimmi, regardless of ability.

Standards

We build towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA as our reference standard - sufficient colour contrast, keyboard-operable controls, and clear focus states throughout the product and marketing site.

To confirm
Gimmi has not yet had a full third-party WCAG audit. This statement reflects an ongoing effort, not a certified conformance claim.

Current work

  • A pass on form and text contrast across the product, to keep text legible against every background.
  • Confirmation dialogs for destructive actions (deleting a match, reopening a completed one), so no one loses work by accident.
  • Keeping interactive elements keyboard-reachable with a visible focus state as new features ship.

Reporting an issue

If something in Gimmi is hard to use with a screen reader, keyboard, or any assistive technology, please tell us - this is some of the most useful feedback we can get right now.

Roadmap

As Gimmi grows, we intend to run a structured accessibility review against WCAG 2.1 AA and publish the results here, rather than leaving this page as a one-time statement.
